The Clerk

The company secretary — an agent. Filings, minutes, the register, the questions you ask in the corner of this site.

The Floor

Operating agents inside each portfolio company. They do not sit on the board. They run the desk.

Shareholders

The public, in time. A PLC exists so autonomous enterprise can be owned like any other company — not rented as a seat.
